The Influence Project, a new photography exhibition celebrating the impact that leading black musicians have had on contemporary sound and culture, which forms part of the East Wing Edit, a summer programme of free activity for all ages. The Influence Project is an ongoing photography project celebrating the global impact of African American musicians, who pushed boundaries creatively, socially and politically, whilst simultaneously laying the foundations of contemporary music. The exhibition seeks to make these pioneers visible, highlighting their impact on contemporary musicians, from direct forms of sampling, to the role of mentors and role models.
Itteshad has been with WinkBall since its early incarnation. He studied film at Queen Mary, University of London and his love of film has transferred into his reports for WinkBall. Itteshad has filmed some of our best reports including the BFI film screening of Ingrid Goes West and the ITV gala in both London and Manchester. Before working for WinkBall he was a freelance videographer and worked as a production runner for several companies.
